Scholarships for Future Leaders

For 14 Lamar seniors, graduation marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter made possible, in part, by the generosity of our alumni community.

This year, the Lamar Alumni Association awarded $140,000 in scholarships to students who have demonstrated perseverance, character, and a commitment to their future. While each recipient has a different story, they all share the determination to continue their education and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

One of the things that makes the Lamar Alumni Scholarship Program especially meaningful is its purpose. Since its inception, the program has focused on students with unweighted GPAs, between 2.5 and 3.4, students who often do not qualify for scholarships but have every bit as much potential to succeed in college and beyond. Our support helps bridge that gap and gives these students the confidence to pursue their dreams.

Since the scholarship program began in 2005, the Lamar Alumni Association has awarded $745,000 in scholarships to 134 graduates, creating opportunities that continue long after commencement. Each scholarship is an investment not only in a student's education but also in the future of our community.
