COMMITTEES
At the Final meeting for the 2007-2008 Board (Wed 6/18/2008), the board established COMMITTEES, both STANDING (permanent) and Ad-Hoc (temporary, to direct a particular one-time special need). Each committee will operate under the direction of one or more Board Members that may be the Chairpersons or may elect to direct a current dues paid Alumni member who will serve that committee as Chairperson. (Volunteers are welcome, see below).

The Alumni Association welcomes volunteers for the above committees.  Qualifications are: that you must be a currently dues paid member of the Association and have a desire and willingness to commit to spend time on one or more of the committees following the direction of the Chairperson(s).  
        To volunteer please submit (by eMail or snail mail) Your name, the committee(s) that you wish to volunteer on and a note as to why you believe that you can be helpful on that (those) committees.  Should you have special qualifications that will be helpful please make a note of those qualifications (i.e., Sales background, Professional education such as CPA, Lawyer, Architect, Landscape Designer, Computer, Artist, Printer, Copywriter, just a good "networking" person or just a good and dedicated worker etc.)

The superscript numbers following a member’s name i.e., 9, 10 or 11 indicate a member’s current term expiration date, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

School or Maiden names for the ladies are in ( ).  Men that have a name in [ ] indicate a “nickname”.
PBM = Past Board Member
* In the beginning, the Alumni Association was started by Parents* as well as Lamar Alumni and will be so noted with one asterisk on the website subpage.
r = Retired Board Member, The Board Member may have retired during a current and active term and could have been replaced by another person therefore changing the overall number of Board Members in a given term.
Number on Board – This is the first Board to be allowed to have a maximum of 15 members (see ByLaws revision 06/06 – we will now rotate 5 on and 5 off for each year.)

The Lamar High School Alumni Association, Inc. received its Certificate of Incorporation from the State of Texas effective July 9, 1998 and the IRS has approved Lamar High School Alumni Association, Inc. as an authorized 501 (c) (3) organization.
